XR250R/XR400R Excel Takasago Black Rims and Stainless 9 Gauge Spoke Set
Includes Excel silver aluminum spline drive nipples, and spline drive wrenches.

Full set for front and rear wheels, NO HUBS are included, you must re-use your stock hubs.

This item was something I always wanted for my 2003 XR250R. I love the look and the strength of the black Excel Takasago rims. It makes the bike look a lot more modern. I had trouble finding all these items to build my own wheels using the stock hubs, so I made this a kit to make the project easier for people. I removed all the old spokes with a cut-off wheel on a grinder, laced the new spokes in the hubs, lined them up with the holes that point the correct direction, used Anti-Seize on the threads while installing the nipples, got a $60 wheel truing stand to true the wheels, and it came out great! Keep in mind that the sizing info imprinted on the inside of the rim should be the LEFT side, the rear rim especially is directional.
